SHAKESPEARE AND COMPANY

Where was Shakespeare from? Where was he born? Well, yes… you’re right.
He was English and he was born in Stratford-upon-Avon but his influence is so big that you may find his presence in different places around the world.

Since some of you are visiting Paris next March it is a good opportunity to learn more about one of the greatest bookshops in Europe: Shakespeare and Company.

In order to do the following project about Shakespeare and Company you will need to read George Whitman’s text “The Rag and Bone shop of the heart”  in detail and his obituary published on The Telegraph too.

Remember that this will be the last project this course and you will have to hand it in before Monday 1st June.

GULLIVER’S TRAVELS PROJECT: MAKING-OF

As you already know, we started to do our project about Gulliver’s Travels by Jonathan Swift.

We will post some images and other material about the whole process so you can learn more about it.

We met in the afternoon at the library on Friday 6th February to design some posters.
It was incredible to see how many of you showed up to have a good time together.
We were more than twenty people working on the book at the same time.
There was not enough room in the library for all of you!
